(More customer reviews)When I first fired my Burnmaster up with the pen that I had, I could barely get the dial turned away from number 1 (one) before the tips got red. I thought great all this settings and i won't be needing them. If all else fails read the directions. it turns out right by the temperature dial there is a small hole. You stick in a 5/16 Allen wrench and turn clockwise to increase the heat counterclockwise to decease the heat. In other words I turned mine counter clockwise and now I can put the dial on 4 or 5 and the pens don't get red hot. This an amazing feature that they don't even mention about the unit. This mean you can not only use any pen with the Burnmaster you can even tailor it to where you want the dial to be. I have the Eagle I don't know if the Hawk (single burner) has it.
The cord were heavy duty, three yr guarantee and a safety switch so you can;t accidentally burn it out with a shorted pen. So far I'm a happy camper. I'll keep updating.
