Thick solid surgical stainless steel, impressive encapsulated bottom for induction cooking (personally, I use it on a gas stove). Manufactured -- the HARD WAY -- out of a single piece of steel, no seams. The spout is welded to the body, then machined/polished smooth so it looks of a single piece with the rest of the kettle. Magnificent workmanship.
You get a 30-year warranty for home use (10 for commercial use). I don't know what such a warranty actually means... but for me it certainly means this will probably be the only piece of cookware that'll be fit to be passed on to the next generations as a treasured heirloom. It's that good.

It has performed perfectly and still looks as new as the day it was purchased and given a home. Unlike other tea kettles I have owned, it has remained not only as beautiful but as strong as when it was new. Others I have had, have deteriorated in a short amount of time. I truly think this one will last a lifetime. I highly recommend it and how easy to be able to order it here.
