(More customer reviews)The gasket material is fine, but the adhesive is sub-par. I cleaned and sanded the area around my smoker door and followed the directions to a tee. After about 4 months use, the gasket has come loose. I still have some high temp gasket sealer (Rutland Gasket Cement), and I will probably try to reapply soon.

(More customer reviews)Works well. I assume its reading is representative of the temperatures. Color is not too bright and offensive. Looks good on black stove. You sometimes have to tap it to get it to give current temperature as it occasionally gets a bit hung up on its way up. Not the end of the world.
