(More customer reviews)I ordered two of these for use in my kitchen. As the previous reviews stated these are GREAT for serving. I agree that these are perfect for serving snacks, fruit, etc. Though these should not be considered anything more then light duty cutting boards. The lip they have make it near impossible to mince safely, and they tend to slide around quite a bit since they're made of plastic and do not have any rubber/cork/etc feet. They are fine for carefully slicing fruit/tomatoes/etc. Though if you need something to do some regular knife work around the kitchen I'd recommend the plain plastic cutting boards for a quick and cheap solution.
Tip: The label that these come with state to "use a damp towel between the counter-top and PrepBoard to avoid slipping". I went down to the local hardware store and picked up a package of the rubber feet you usually see on cupboard doors and applied them to each corner of the board right on the outside of where the plastic feet are and also placed one in the middle. This works well but raises the board a little, again, this isn't safe to do heavy mincing or anything on it since it'll easily tip if you apply pressure to the edge. The good news is it's not slipping around anymore!

(More customer reviews)Awesome product! I ordered this in the large 30" x 20" size because we've gone a lot more "raw" and I wanted to cover my glass stovetop to protect it and get more prep space. It was the best idea I've had in months!
The board is heavy enough not to shift as I use it, but easy to move if we need to use the stovetop (which is rare). It's a beautiful board on both sides (I use the flat side), easy to clean, and looks great in the kitchen.
Having the large cutting surface is perfect for preparing raw dishes that call for several raw ingredients to be chopped, minced, etc - you can have it all on the board, pushing back what you've already prepped and just keep going - then assemble at the end. It makes food prep so much easier - I love this board :-)
Now I just need a super-fabulous knife! lol

(More customer reviews)when this cutting board arrived i took it out of its box, placed it over my stove top, laid my head on it and laughed from sheer joy.
it covers the top of my stove exactly. the wood is beautiful and warm.
i got mine late november early december, and i use if everyday at least once, and it still looks new. it is easy to clean, even if i left cut tomatoe and avocado or something, the stains wipe right off.
p.s. i only use mine to cut fruit and veggies....we are vegetarian.

Lipper International 8831 Bamboo Large Over the Sink/Stove Cutting Board Review

(More customer reviews)I have had this cutting board in my Amazon cart for a while and was pleasantly surprised to find it for $12.99 at my local T J M a x x. I love that it covers both burners on my stove and allows me to pick up the board w/ prepped food on it and set it on the burners while I cook on the burners on the other side. It makes it super easy to add ingredients and have everything ready to go. It also looks really nice on the stove top. It doesn't fit over my double bowl sink, which was disappointing. By the measurements given, it should have, but you actually lose about an inch from the sides of the board and for my sink, that inch made all the difference, because I have a cast iron sink with a big rolled edge and it doesn't quite make it... but I imagine it would probably fit over a standard or recessed kitchen sink with no problem. The bamboo is nice quality, and while and it's not butcher block thick, the entire thing is nice and even with no warping. I oiled it right away and am pleased with the way my knives cut on it, it's a nice work surface and looks good, too. I was actually ready to buy it for $24.99, but just happened upon a better deal...so if you can't find it for cheaper, I'd still say that it would be well worth the $25. I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5 because I think if they had made this just about an inch longer and another inch deeper it would fit the larger double bowl sinks as well as cover a bit more surface area on the stove top when you are using it for that purpose. But it comes very, very close to 5 stars for my money!
One caveat- I had this over my 2 burners and preheated my oven, and the board got VERY hot from the vent at the back of my rangetop as the oven was preheating. I was nearby and got it off before the wood darkened or warped, but I do think if I had left it on while the oven was working, the board would have gotten too hot. So make sure you take it off the stove top before you turn the oven on :). I would love to find another one to cover the other 2 burners when you have company drop by and your stove is a mess! If I can't find another locally I will most likely be ordering one from Amazon!
